Mission statement

Our club aims to:

  • Provide a happy, safe, warm and stimulating environment for all children to play, learn and develop freely. 
  • Help children to develop responsibility for themselves and their actions; to become competent, confident and co-operative individuals.
  • Encourage children to have a positive attitude and respect for themselves and other people. 
  • Promote positive relationships with parents and carers, working in partnership with them to provide high quality play and care for their children.

  • Sharing and discussing the child’s achievements, experiences, progress and any difficulties that may arise.

How to use Barford Bright Stars

Opening times
Monday to Friday, term time only. We do not open on inset days.

Bookings must be for the whole session, but children can be collected at any time during the session. 

Please ensure that you complete and return a booking form, with all your child’s details before they attend Barford Bright Stars. 

Changes to hours or cancellation of place can be made by giving a month's notice in writing.

Fees

Fees are to be paid using Parent pay accounts, for preschool parents' payment will be through BACS. 

At the start of each half term, you will receive an email to confirm the amount due and these should be paid within a week of this message. 

Fees can be paid using childcare vouchers and tax-free childcare, we require you to email Mrs. Bunn with the amount you have sent through each time. The payment of the voucher will be deducted from your parent pay balance once received.

Cancellations

If your child is not attending their booked session/s for any reason, you MUST notify club by email by 3 pm on that day. 

Any missed sessions will still be charged, and no refunds offered.

If you wish to cancel your child’s place you must give one month’s notice in writing.

Loss or damage to property

Whilst every care will be taken of property, Bright Stars cannot be held responsible for the loss or damage to children’s property.

Signing in and out

A member of staff will sign your child in and out of the club.

Late collection

If a parent is late for a 4.15pm collection by more than 5 minutes they will be charged for the 4.15pm until 5.30pm session. 

If a child is late being collected at 5.30pm you will be charged a late collection fee of £10 and £5 for every 15 minutes per child.

Late payment of fees

Where fees are persistently paid late, the club manager will discuss this with the parent/carer. If fees continue to be unpaid or late then the club may withdraw your child's place.
